Born in 1993, Tsugumi was heavily influenced by American avant-garde filmmaker, Maya Deren, during her studies. She became infatuated with experimental films, growing an affinity to Surrealism.
Tsugumi has the unique ability to realise the values of abstract expression, through moving images and photography, to build the world envisioned in her work, down to the air. She utilises this talent directing advertisements, music videos, and fashion campaigns.
