Sanctuary is a human drama that follows the story of Kose Kiyoshi (played by #Ichinose Wataru), a troubled and rough individual grappling with debts, violence, and a broken family, as he rises through the ranks of sumo wrestling under the name “Saruzakura”.

 

TOKYO’s cinematography Koji Naoi has worked on the film along with the renowned director Kan Eguchi(The Fable – 2019). The film depicts the passionate struggles of young individuals at the bottom of the sumo wrestling world.
