‘Birdland’ makes a splash at
international film festivals 2020.12.24

Closing 2020 with a bang, TOKYO is hyped that short film ‘Birdland’, shot by our very own DoP, Ryo Ishida, and directed by Takeshi Kogahara, has won the Best National Short award at Sapporo Short Fest 2020! The short film will also be screened at the 2021 Slamdance Film Festival in California and virtual passes to view online are also available to purchase.

 

‘Birdland’ is a human drama that tells the story of a bedridden elderly man and his wife. One winter night, the old man watches as snow falls outside his window, remembering the last times he spent with his late wife.
